Reducing Revit Family Size

Please follow up the below mentioned tips to reduce the file size:
It is applicable for both the family file (i.e. Original file and the Nested Imported family files)

• Purge Unused
• Re save the family under a different name and different location with compact file checked
• Remove other unused material from the file
• Reduce detail of model (If Needed)
• Type creation with text file (If Acceptable)
• Avoid Void
• Delete unnecessary views from family
• Unnecessary parameter uses
• Avoid CAD Import
• Present the model with symbolic line (For Detailing) where required (If applicable)

File should be re saved and renamed on regular basis for a long run file
